Andhra Pradesh Information and Public Relations Minister Kalava Srinivasulu today inaugurated the office of Andhra Pradesh Press Academy in Vijayawada.
The Academy had so far been functioning from Hyderabad.
Headed by veteran journalist V Vasudeva Dikshitulu, the Academy will now function full fledged from the state capital.
Complimenting the Academy for making a new beginning, the minister a former journalist himself noted that it would act a bridge between the journalists and the government.
Information Commissioner S Venkateswar, Academy Secretary Srinivas, senior officials of the I and PR Department and senior journalists attended the event.
