Jammu and Kashmir Minister for Rural Development Abdul Haq Khan today visited those affected by Pakistani shelling in Machil area of the border district of Kupwara and assured them of all possible help.
While interacting with people at Machil, Khan assured them of every possible help from the government, an official spokesman said.
The minister, who was accompanied by Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Khan and Deputy Commisisoner Kupwara Neeraj Kumar, directed the administration to provide every possible help to the people affected by the cross-LoC shelling.

He also asked the administration to ensure proper shelter to the people who have been displaced due to shelling.
The Minister issued directions to the administration to provide blankets to the displaced families and proper medical facilities to the people.
Khan said the government is aware of the hardships faced by the people and that it will take care of the victims affected by the skirmishes on the borders.
He assured adequate compensation to the victims and long term security and welfare measures for them.
He said bunkers will be constructed in border villages to save human lives in future.
The Minister also directed the district administration to ensure availability of essential supplies including ration, kerosene and LPG.
