A 13-year-old boy was today killed on the spot after being hit by a school bus on Kalwar Road in the city, police said.
The incident took place this morning when the boy, identified as Harsh Kumar, was waiting for his school bus, and was hit by a speeding bus of another school, police said, adding, he died on the spot.
Angered over the incident, local residents blocked the Kalwar Road and demanded immediate arrest of the bus driver, who fled from the spot, they said.
The bus has been seized and efforts are underway to arrest the absconding driver, police said.
