A minor fire broke out this
morning in the second floor office of the Ministry of Finance at North Block here.
"A window AC in a room on the second floor of the building had caught fire. It was doused within 15 minutes," said A K Sharma, Director of Delhi Fire Service.

According to another fire official, they got a call about the blaze at 8:40 AM following which eight fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the flames. No injury was reported in the incident.
Last Saturday, a fire had broken out on the sixth floor of Shastri Bhavan, damaging some rooms occupied by officials of Information and Broadcasting Ministry although no one was injured.
Earlier on May 21 also, a blaze was reported in offices of I&B Ministry at Shastri Bhavan and some furniture and computer peripherals were gutted.
