Minor girl commits suicide in UP

A 14-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself after being harassed by a youth in Panwari area of Mahoba district here, police said today.

According to a complaint filed by the girl's father, one Chungga, who lives in the neighbourhood, used to harass her, after which she took the extreme step, police said.

A case has been registered in this connection and the accused has been arrested, they said.
