A seven-year-old girl died and at least two others were feared trapped under debris as a wall belonging to the ISKCON Temple caved in at the adjacent slum in Kanakapura road on the outskirts of the city, police said.
DCP (South) Revanna told reporters here that the wall belonging to the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) Temple wall collapsed on some huts in adjoining slum area and at least two other persons including a girl are trapped in the debris.
Efforts are on to extricate them, the DCP said.

ACP (Law and Order) Kamal Pant said the wall might have collapsed due to heavy rains last night.
"We are looking into the matter on what actually caused this. We are surprised because we take necessary precaution on our side when we go for construction," ISKCON spokesperson Bharat said.
He also alleged that some people living in the slum had used the adjacent ISKCON wall to build their houses.
