Minor girl kidnapped in Punjab

A 17-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped by a youth from her residence at Langiana village here, police said today.

25-year-old Darshan Singh from Ludhiana has been booked in the case after the girl's parents named him as suspect in their complaint yesterday, they said.

The father of the girl has alleged that Singh came to their house in their absence and abducted his daughter with the intention of marrying her, police said.
