Minor girl kidnapped, raped in Amritsar

A 14-year old girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped by a youth at an isolated place in the city, police said today.

The victim was kidnapped four days ago and an FIR was registered after the confirmation of rape in the preliminary medical report, they said.

Police said that after committing the crime, the girl was dropped in the busiest area of the city and thereafter she approached police along with her family members, seeking action against accused Prabh.

Police initially delayed registration of the FIR, since the accused was ready to marry the victim, but later denied.
