A minor girl was allegedly raped by a married man at Barkipona village of Ramgarh district today, a senior police officer said.
The accused, Anand Mahato, who is also a resident of the same village, had taken the 14-year-old girl to a abandoned building, where he allegedly forced himself on her, Superintendent of Police M Tamilvanan said.
Twenty-five year-old Mahato was a married man and have children.
A named FIR has been registered against him after the girl narrated the incident to her family members.
The girl was taken to hospital, where her medical check up was done, he said adding that police launched a manhunt to net the culprit, who was absconding.
