Minor girl raped by uncle in UP

A 12-year-old girl was raped by her uncle in her house at Bilhaur here, following which the accused has been arrested, police said today.

According to the victim's family members, she was today raped by Vinod, her father's younger brother, in Chobgahi village here, SP (Rural) Surendra Tiwari said.

The girl was sent to Bilhaur government hospital for treatment and medical examination following excessive bleeding, they said.

Vinod was arrested from the village and is being interrogation, police said, adding, the victim's statement would be recorded once she recovers.
