Minor girl raped in Bokaro

A minor girl was allegedly raped by a person in Bokaro district, police said today.

The 17-year-old victim was forcibly abducted by the accused Ram Kumar Bauri and taken to a school campus under Sector 12 police station area on September 8 where he raped her, they said.

A panchayat was convened after the girl, a resident of Sultanpur, narrated the incident to her family members.

A FIR was lodged in this regard today as no decision could be taken in the panchayat, police said.

Further investigations are on, they added.
