A four-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a youth at Krishnanagar locality of Ramagundam mandal, around 70 km from here following which the accused has been apprehended, police said today.
"The 25-year-old accused who is relative and neighbour of the victim took her to his house and allegedly raped her last evening," National Thermal Power Corporation police station Sub Inspector G Sagar said.
The accused has been arrested today and the girl has been sent for medial examination at Singareni area hospital in Godavarikhani town for medical examination, the officer said.
According to police, following a complaint by the victim's parents a case under section 376 (rape) of the IPC was registered and investigations were underway.
