Minor girls drown in river while taking bath

Two minor girls today drowned while taking bath in river Rapti in a village in Brijmanganj area here, police said.

12-year-old Archana and her 8-year-old friend, Nitya died when they slipped into deep water while taking bath in the river in Dhani village, District Magistrate S K Srivastva said.

Police and administrative officials reached the village and fished out the bodies with the help of villagers, he said.
