Minor raped by quack

An eight-year-old girl was allegedly

raped by a quack in Falawada area here, police said today.

The incident occurred on Sunday when the girl had gone to a shop near her house in a village in Falawada, they said.

The accused Arshad Qureshi (40), whose clinic is next to the shop, lured the girl to his clinic and allegedly raped her, a police official said.

On the complaint of the victim's family yesterday, police conducted a raid at Qureshi's clinic but he managed to escape, the official said.

Police said efforts are on to apprehend the accused.
