Minor raped by 'Whatsapp' friend

A 13-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a youth whom she had befriended on Internet messaging application 'Whatsapp'.

The seventh standard girl came to know Pawan through the mobile application and was allegedly raped by him yesterday, police said.

Parents of the victim approached the police later.

A case was registered on the basis of the statement of the mother of the victim and the accused was arrested.
