Missing 5-year-old boy found dead in car

A five-year-old boy, missing for almost a day, was found dead inside a locked car in suburban Ghatkopar today, police said.

He apparently died due to suffocation, they said.

Rahim Khan, who went missing last evening, was found dead in the car parked near Damodar Park area, they said.

According to police, the child got into the unlocked car while playing and could not come out as its doors got locked.

The car is among 18 vehicles confiscated by the Crime Branch in connection with various cases and subsequently parked by roadside near Damodar Park, an official from Ghatkopar police station said.
 

A case of accidental death has been registered by the police in this regard.
