A 17-year-old boy missing since Sunday was found murdered today at Teteria village in Jamui district of Bihar, police said.

The boy, Rajkumar alias Chhotu, was the son of a wood trader based in Lakshmipur Bazar area of the district. He had gone out of his house on a bicycle three days ago after receiving a phone call and had not returned since then, police said.

Lakshmipur Station House Officer (SHO) Vivek Bharti said a missing person complaint was lodged by his father Abhay Shah in this regard.

"The dead body has marks of strangulation by a rope. It seems he was killed somewhere else and the body was thrown in the village where it was found. We have sent it for postmortem. We have launched investigations in the matter," said the SHO.

Meanwhile, local villagers blocked the roads in the area and demanded quick arrest of the criminals. They lifted the jam after the administrative officials assured them of speedy action.
