Missing Rajasthan revenue official found dead

A 29-year-old patwari, who went missing on June 7, was today found hanging from a tree in the forests of Ganeshpura area in Baran district of Rajasthan, police said.

Hariom Sahariya, a resident of Madhopura village, was posted at Patwar Mandal Bicchi in Baran. He had gone missing from his home following which his family lodged a complaint at the Kelwada police station on June 9, assistant sub inspector Ramesh Chand Sahu said.

The police started looking for him and found his body hanging from a tree today, he said.

"Prima facie it is matter of suicide and the dead body appears to be hanging for the last 4-5 days. Forensic experts have been called and the body would only be taken down after they have examined it," Sahu said.
