Missing school girl's body found in jute field

The body of a 12-year-old girl bearing severe injury marks was found in a jute field at Gaighata in North 24-Parganas district today.

The police said the girl, a Class VI student of Rampur- Rajapur Tangra high school in her village Rajapur, was missing since yesterday.

The girl's parents had lodged a missing complaint with the Gaighata police station.

The body was sent for postmortem.

The police said one person was arrested.
