Mizoram govt employees' body urges Centre for help toimplement

Federation of Mizoram Government Employees and Workers (FMGE and W) today submitted a memorandum to the Centre for granting adequate financial assistance for implementation of the recommendations of the seventh central pay commission.

The FMGE and W leaders submitted the memorandum to Governor Lt. General Nirbhay Sharma at the Raj Bhavan in Aizawl asking the latter to forward the memorandum to the centre.

They explained that the state government employees asked the Centre to provide additional financial assistance to the Mizoram government so that the state government would be in a position to implement the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission.
 

The FMGE and W leaders said that they received invitation to join the stir by different government employee bodies making several demands, but did not join the agitation after deliberations.
