MLA's son arrested after student's death in car racing

Chilakaluripet police have arrested Bonda Siddhardha, son of Bonda Umamaheswara Rao, MLA from Vijayawada central, in connection with an accident which took place during a car racing.

A student had been killed in the accident.

Siddhartha was today produced before the Chilakaluripte court, which granted him bail.

According to the police, Siddhardha and some other students of an engineering college were racing on the national highway on October 27 when one of the cars overturned near Thimmapuram village in Guntur district.

Vijaya Nagendra (20), an engineering student, was killed in the mishap.

According to police, Siddhardha led the race.
