MMTC appoints part-time directors on board

State-run mining and metal firm MMTC has appointed Jayant Dasgupta and Rajendrasinh Rattansinh Jadeja as part time non-official Directors on its board for a period of three years.

The appointment is in accordance to the order dated January 27 by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, MMTC Ltd said in a regulatory filing.

"The Board of Directors has approved the appointment of Dr Jayant Dasgupta and Rajendrasinh Rattansinh Jadeja as part-time non-official directors on the board of the company, for a period of 3 years," MMTC added.

Dasgupta, aged 62, has a doctorate degree in Economics and Master's degrees in Physics, Business Administration, Economics, Social Policy & Planning and a Bachelor's degree in Law. He is enrolled as a member of the Bar Council of Delhi. He has earlier served as Ambassador of India to the WTO.
 

Jadeja, aged 65, has a Bachelor's degree in Law & Commerce and is a senior lawyer.
