State-run trading firm MMTC today reported a net loss of Rs 31.22 crore in April-June quarter of the current fiscal.
In comparison, the company had a net profit of Rs 40.77 crore in the first quarter of 2014-15.
Total income of the company declined to Rs 2,064.88 crore during the quarter under review from Rs 5,217.71 crore in the year ago period.

The company's revenue from minerals segment plunged to Rs 9.55 crore in the first quarter ended June 30, 2015 from Rs 556 crore in the year-ago period.
MMTC shares today closed 2.23 per cent down at Rs 46.10 apiece on the BSE.
