In a significant development concerning the removal of AIIMS ex-chief vigilance officer Sanjiv Chaturvedi, the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) has written to the Union Health Ministry stating that the officer "is clear from vigilance angle."
In a office memorandum dated August 28, the MoEF which is the appointing authority, Cadre Controlling Authority and Repository of all complaints against him said, "As per the Vigilance division of this Ministry, Sanjiv Chaturvedi, IFS (HR:2002) is clear from vigilance angle."
The Ministry has also forwarded the annual confidential reports (ACRs) of Chaturvedi of the last five years.

Chaturvedi was recenly removed from his post by the Health Ministry. The tenure of Chaturvedi, a Haryana cadre forest service officer of 2002 batch, was fixed for four years and was to have lasted till June 2016.
