Moong, its dal rises on retailers demand

Moong and its dal prices rose by Rs 50 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale pulses market today on scattered demand from retailers.

However, other pulses moved in a narrow range on lack of worthwhile activity and settled around previous levels.

Traders said some demand from retailers helped moong and its dal to trade higher.

In the national capital, moong and its dal chilka local moved up by Rs 50 each to Rs 6,050-7,250 and Rs 7,150-7,550 per quintal respectively.

Following are today's pulses rates per quintal:

Urad 3,950-4,750, Urad Chilka (local) 5,500-5,700, best 5,750-6,350, Dhoya 6,050-6,450, Moong 6,050-7,250, Dal Moong Chilka local 7,150-7,550, Moong Dhoya local 7,300-7,400 and best quality 7,900-8,000.
 

Masoor small 4,200-4,450, bold 4,400-4,500, Dal Masoor local 5,100-5,200, best quality 5,200-5,300, Malka local 4,900-5,000, best 5,100-5,200, Moth 4,700-5,000, Arhar 4,200-4,300, Dal Arhar Dara 5,750-5,950.

Gram 2,850-3,800, Gram Dal (local) 3,600-3,800, best quality 3,780-3,880, Besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 1,350, Rajdhani 1,350, Rajmah Chitra 7,300-10,800, Kabli Gram small 3,900-5,900, dabra 2,700-2,800, imported 4,700-5,100, Lobia 4,200-5,800, Peas white 2,950-3,000 and green 3,000-3,100.
