Mother Dairy frozen vegetable revenue to touch Rs 60 cr mark

Mother Dairy Fruit & Vegetable expects a 10 per cent growth in revenue from its frozen vegetable segment to Rs 60 crore in the current fiscal.

"Growth in overall frozen vegetable market is so far flat this year but with the launch of this latest frozen snacks the revenue is expected to touch Rs 60 crore," Mother Dairy's Horticulture Horticulture Pradipta Kumar Sahoo said on the sidelines of an event.

Last year, its revenue from frozen vegetables was around Rs 55 crore.

The company launched frozen snacks after the success of frozen vegetables offered by the brand, Kumar added.

He also said that frozen vegetables serve as alternative to fresh vegetables ensuring good quality and long durability.
 

Mother Dairy Fruit and Vegetable a wholly-owned subsidiary of National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) sells frozen vegetables under the Safal brand. The company has 400 safal outlets in Delhi- NCR and 30 stores in Bangalore.
