Mother, daughter commit suicide in UP's Pratapgarh

A mother-daughter duo allegedly committed suicide by consuming a poisonous substance due to a family dispute in village Bahadur in the Maheshganj area here, the police said today.

The incident took place yesterday when Maltidevi (40) and her daughter Mamta (16) consumed poison yesterday night, they said.

The bodies of victims have been sent for post-mortem.

Police is probing the matter.
