Mother, son burnt to death

A mother and son died after their house was set on fire by unknown miscreants in Manchanabele village in this district, police said today.

Bhojanna, his wife Vijayalakshmiand their son Bharath, an engineering student, were sleeping when the incident took place late last night, police said.

Vijayalakshmiand Bharath succumbed at a hospital, while Bhojanna was undergoing treatment for burn injuries, police said.

Miscreants had locked the doors of the house from outside, before setting it ablaze, police said.
