Mother-son duo killed in lightning in Rajouri

A woman and her minor son were killed when lightning struck them in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Sheela Devi (36) and her 12-year-old son Sunny Kumar lost their lives after lightning struck them at Dali village in Sunderbani belt of the district yesterday, police said here today.

The lightning hit them when Sheela was escorting her son to a nearby school.

They were rushed to a hospital where doctors declared them as brought dead, the police said.
