Mother, son killed in roof collapse

A woman and her son were killed when the roof of their house collapsed at Ramasamypuram near Sankarankovil in this district early this morning.

Police said Lakshmi and her son Muthumari were sleeping in the house when the roof collapsed and killed them on the spot.

The bodies had been retrieved by the fire service personnel, police said.
