Motorcycle-borne duo snatches Rs.30 lakh from mill cashier

Two motorcycle-borne persons today looted Rs.30 lakh from the cashier of a private textile mill near Annur, about 30 km from here today, police said.

As the cashier was coming out of the mill owner's house, a person wearing helmet threw chilli powder on his face, snatched the bag containing the cash and escaped by jumping on to a motorcycle driven by his accomplice, police said.

Police said checkposts have been alerted and vehicle checks intensified.
