A motorcylcist was killed after he was hit by a speeding bus at English Bazar, a police officer said.
The incident occured at Jadupur area on NH34 last midnight, the officer said.
The passenger loaded bus from Siliguri to Kolkata rammed into a motorcyle coming from the opposite direction injuring the rider, Raju Sheikh (30).

Sheikh was rushed to Malda Medical College and Hospital where he succumed to his injuries, police said.
The dirver and the cleaner escaped.
Irate locals surrounded the bus, asked the passengers to disembark and set the vehicle on fire. They also set up a road block which was lifted after two hours on police intervention, the official said.
