Mozambique keen on strengthening bilateral ties

Mozambique is keen on strengthening bilateral relations with India and looking forward for expansion in civil aviation, air transport, promotion of trade and business in Tamil Nadu, a senior diplomat today said.

High Commissioner of the Republic of Mozambique, Jose Maria Morais, who called on Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah at the Raj Bhavan here, told him that with the support of the state government, CII and FICCI, Mozambique would be venturing to start new industries in Tamil Nadu.

An official release said Governor Rosaiah informed the High Commissioner that Tamil Nadu, known for its rich culture and heritage, was a front ranking state and its industrial-friendly policies have made it a destination for starting new ventures.
 

Maria Fatima G C Phume, Minister Counsellor and Vicente Paulo C Chihale, Commercial Counsellor accompanied the High Commissioner, the release said.
