A Superintendent of Land Records Office was today caught red-handed by Lokayukta Police while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000.
Acting on a tip-off, Lokayukta Police caught the superintendent, L J Ahirwar, while he was accepting Rs 10,000 from Suresh Jaiswal for making amendments in the map of a land, official sources said.
Ahirwar was subsequently arrested and a case under relevant sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act was registered against him, they said.
The Land-Records Office is situated in the district Collectorate premises.
