Terming the increase in power tariff in Delhi "not proper", a Rajya Sabha member today demanded a relook into the hike, saying the move was uncalled for when the CAG audit of power companies was on.
Raising the issue during Zero Hour, K N Balgopal (CPI-M) said power tariff hike of 8-9 per cent for Delhi was uncalled for especially when a "CAG audit of power companies is going on. It is done as per Supreme Court and High Court order."
He cautioned the hike could have an adverse impact on the people as it was a major issue during the last election in Delhi.
