Murder convict dies of heart attack

A 41-year-old murder convict, serving a life term at the central prison here, allegedly died of a heart attack, police said today.

Sridhar, sentenced to life imprisonment in a 1993 murder case, was watching television last night when he complained of chest pain and was rushed to the government hospital.

Doctors at the hospital declared him brought dead, police said, adding, investigations are on.
