Press Trust of India New Delhi
Mustardseed prices slumped by 1.01 per cent to Rs 4,502 per quintal in future trading today after traders offloaded their positions, tracking a weak trend at the physical markets.

Marketmen said trimming of positions by participants amid a weak trend at the spot markets due to subdued demand, led to fall in mustardseed prices at futures market here.

Besides, softening edible oil prices too weighed on prices, they added.

At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, mustardseed for delivery for the most-active November month contracts dipped by Rs 46 or 1.01 per cent to Rs 4,502 per quintal, having an open interest of 42,480 lots.

Mustardseed for delivery in October month was trading lower by Rs 42 or 0.94 per cent to Rs 4,446 per quintal in a business turnover of 29,780 open lots.
