Mentha oil prices drifted lower by 1 per cent to Rs 1,282 per kg in futures market today as speculators trimmed positions amid easing demand from consuming industries at the spot market.
Besides, ample stocks position on higher supplies from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh, too, influenced prices.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in May fell by Rs 13, or 1 per cent, to Rs 1,282 per kg in business turnover of 15 lots.
Analysts said, offloading of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market against ample stocks position on increased supplies from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh, weighed on mentha oil futures.
