Muzaffarnagar: Two accused surrender in court

Two brothers who were summoned in connection with the Kawal killing case today surrendered before the court today and were sent to judicial custody.

The two brothers, Afzal and Iqbal surrendered in the court of Additional District Sessions judge Ombir Singh.

According to the prosecution, two youth Gaurav and Sachin were beaten to death by some people at Kawal village in this district following an altercation on August 27, 2013.

The killing of the youth had triggered riots in Muzaffarnagar and adjoining areas in which more than 60 people were killed and 50 thosands displaced .

The SIT probing the matter has filed a chargesheet against some persons.
