Myanmarese arrested

A 52-year-old Myanmarese was arrested for possessing 28.5 grams of heroin by Anti Narcotic Squad officials here today.

Phunukliana (52), a resident of Tuikhingzang in Myanmar, was arrested for carrying the narcotic, Mizoram Excise Department Spokesman Peter Zohmingthanga said.

The accused was booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, he said.
