Naidu visits exhibition on Rao, Vajpayee

Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu today visited an exhibition on the life and works of former prime ministers P V Narasimha Rao and Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

On the eve of the anniversary of the Quit India movement, he also visited galleries at the Nehru Memorial Museum (NMN) at Teen Murti Bhavan devoted to the movement and other events in the independence movement including Karo Ya Maro, Non-Cooperation Movement and Champaran movement.

"I was also informed that Shri Morarji Desai's works will also be showcased soon," he said in a series of tweets.

He said he was briefed about the modernisation of NMM, the first such exercise in 50 years, in a systemic manner.

 

"Spent time viewing the ongoing special exhibition titled 'Pathfinders' which highlights the life and works of former Prime Ministers Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Shri P V Narasimha Rao.

"Delighted to visit Nehru Memorial Museum at Teen Murti Bhavan ... A well-maintained place where various facets of Jawarlal Nehru's life have been showcased properly," he wrote on Twitter.

He also went to Gurudwara Bangla Sahib to offer prayers.
