Aluminium major Nalco has instituted 'NALCO Smiles Award' for NGOs and institutions working for rehabilitation and resettlement of differently-abled children and persons.
The award carries a cash prize of Rs one lakh, the company said in a release today.
To recognize, appreciate and encourage individuals for their significant contributions to Odissi Dance, the Navratna PSU has instituted 'NALCO Kharavela Awards' to felicitate an Odissi Guru and an Odissi dancer every year, it said.
The award for Odissi Guru carries a cash prize of Rs one lakh, while for Odissi dancer, the winner will receive a cash prize of Rs 50,000.
The company shall hand over the awards to the winners in the upcoming NALCO's Foundation Day function on 7th January, at Bhubaneswar.
The aluminium major is presently seeking nominations for these awards, for which the last date of submission is December 28, the release added.
