Chief Minister V Narayanasamy today greeted Balasubramanian Adithanar, Managing Director of Daily Thanthi group for bagging National Media Award of the Election Commission for its contribution for best campaign to generate awareness among voters on the need for compulsory voting during the recent elections.
In a release today Narayanasamy said that the Election Commission was keen that there should be massive response by the voters to the democratic task of exercising their franchise at the polls.
Both the Central and State governments had carried out extensive propaganda to ensure that there was very heavy turnout of the voters.
