An angry mob set off a trailer-truck on fire after it knocked down a farmer resulting in his death, on Vinchur-Prakasha road in Satana tehsil of the district.
The incident took place yesterday.
Kailash Zipru Chavan, resident of Tarsali village, was heading for Satana on his motorcycle when the truck rammed him at Yashwant Nagar.
The mob which gathered there set the truck on fire.
Police diverted the traffic via Nampur. Fire tenders brought the fire under control after some time.
