The 8th National Beach Kabaddi championships will be held at the Ramakrishna beach here from April 16 to 19.
"46 teams -- 24 men and 22 women -- from 24 states will take part in the championships, being organised by the Andhra Kabaddi Association," Association's Secretary V Veeralankaiah said.
"The India team for the Beach Asian Games to be held in September will be selected from this championship," he added.
According to the secretary, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is expected to attend the valedictory function on April 19.
