Jammu and Kashmir will host its maiden national level Rugby championship from August 23-25 at the Bakshi Stadium here.
"The senior National Rugby 7's championship 2013 will be held at Bakshi Stadium here from August 23 to 25," captain of the Indian Rugby team Nasser Hussain told reporters here.
Hussain said it was for the first time that such a national level tournament is being organised in the state and expressed hope that it will go a long way to improve the game here.

Twenty teams from across the country will be participating in the championship.
Hussain said that an orientation camp for physical education teachers and sports coaches will be held to train and certify them as Rugby professionals so that they take the game forward in the state.
A workshop on first aid and injuries in Rugby will also be held under the supervision of Dr Aijaz Ashai, head physio of Indian Rugby team, who will share his experience with the physios of the state.
The event, which will see 300 participants, has been organised by Jammu and Kashmir Rugby Association and sponsored by Jammu and Kashmir State Sports council.
