NBCC bags Rs 188-cr contract from Tourism Ministry

State-owned NBCC has bagged a contract worth Rs 188 crore from the Indian Culinary Institute Society.

"National Buildings Construction Corporation Ltd (NBCC) and Indian Culinary Institute Society under Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, have entered into an agreement on December 9, 2015 for award of work to NBCC regarding planning, designing and construction of Indian Culinary Institute," the company said in a regulatory filing.

The work involves construction of Indian Culinary Institute in Noida amounting Rs 98.5 crore and Indian Culinary Institute in Tirupati amounting Rs 89.42 crore.

"NBCC will charge 7 per cent agency charges on actual cost for both the works," it added.
 

During November, NBCC bagged projects worth Rs 192.74 crore.

The company is present in three main segments -- project management consultancy (PMC), real estate and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC contracting).
