NCC cadet injured during firing practice

In a freak incident, an NCC cadet suffered a bullet injury during firing practice at Nirmalagiri College at Koothuparambu in the district today.

The incident occurred when M Anus, a BCom first year degree student, was picking up a paper target on the range. Another cadet accidentally fired his gun, hitting him on the shoulder, hospital sources said.

The student has been hospitalised and his condition is stable, they said.
