NCHAC raises funds for Nepal quake relief

For relief of earthquake victims in Nepal, the North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council in association with various organisations, NGO's and others, organised a two-day fund raising event and a concert.

An NCHAC release today said Rs 5,00,350 was collected during the events recently as donation for extending financial help to the victims of Nepal earthquake disaster.

In a meeting here today, NCHAC Chief Executive Member Debojeet Thaosen handed over the collected amount to Kalyan Daulagupu, representative of all the organisations in Dima Hasao district and authorised the team to donate the amount to the Nepal Government, the release added.
