Veteran Congress leader ND Tiwari has been admitted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here for a routine check-up.
The 89-year-old politician, admitted in the old private ward of the hospital, is under the supervision of Manish Suneja, a doctor in the Department of Medicine at AIIMS.
"He (Tiwari) was admitted for routine check-up of his old age ailments in the medicine department last evening. He is likely to be discharged soon," said a senior doctor, who did not wanted to be .
Tiwari recently married Ujjwala Sharma the mother of his biological son Rohit Shekhar with whom he was entangled in a six-year legal battle before recently accepting him as his legal heir.
